Guinness World Records has captivated audiences with incredible feats and remarkable accomplishments. Among the umpteen categories, food-related records have our undivided attention. From the tallest cake stack reaching towering heights to the largest pizza spanning over a thousand square meters and finishing a super-spicy meal in under a minute: these records are simply awe-inspiring and sometimes borderline impossible. Now, a woman from Turkey has set the record for crushing the most number of watermelons with her thighs in a minute. Yes, you read that right.

Gozde Dogan crushed 5 watermelons, the highest for a female, within the stipulated time on the set of Lo Show Dei Record, in Milan, Italy, on February 5 last year. A couple of days ago, the official Instagram page of Guinness World Records (GWR), posted a video of the woman executing the feat. “Most watermelons crushed with the thighs in one minute (female) 5 by Gözde Doğan,” read the side note.
Reactions were quick to follow:
“How does a human find out they can do this?” asked a user sarcastically
Another called her “the GOAT and OG watermelon crusher”.
“Great achievement,” noted another.
“Skull crushers [vegetarian edition]” read a comment.
Begging to differ, a person called the record “Cringe”
Later, Gozde Dogan reacted to her win by sharing a couple of videos from the event on Instagram. She wrote, “Guinness World Record Alert!! Now my name is in the Book of Records! I hold the record for breaking most watermelons in 1 minute using only legs! Doing this in 1 minute is not as simple as it looks, but I am already pretty sure I will break that record when I get an invite here! Cracked watermelons with these legs squatting over 180lbs. I am grateful to everyone there for inviting me here as the strongest woman in Turkey, for accommodating me in good conditions and for taking care of my everything throughout the program. Can’t wait to go there again to break some records again.”
