Ryan Reynolds has opened up about the sacrifices that he has made for Deadpool And Wolverine.
In an interview with Variety’s Actors On Actors, Reynolds was asked about the future of his blockbuster movie. “I don’t know,” the Hollywood actor responded by saying.
“Honestly, my feeling is that the character works very well in two ways,” he added. “One is scarcity and surprise.”
Moreover, the 48-year-old actor went on to say, “It had been six years since the last one, and part of the reason is that it swallows my whole life.”
“You can’t take your hand off the stick all the way through development and post-production into marketing and promo.”
Additionally, Reynold talked about his four kids James, 9, Inez, 8, Betty, 5 and Olin, 1, whom he shares with his wife Blake Lively and said, “I have four kids, and I don’t ever want to be an absentee [dad] and miss stuff.”
“I, like, kind of die inside when I see their face and they have a competition, or a sports thing, or something, and I missed it.”
“So I don’t know what the future of Deadpool will be, but Shawn [Levy] and I made the movie to have a beginning, a middle, and an end, and be a complete experience instead of a commercial for another one. I think it’s important, sometimes, to make space for a movie to just be a movie,” he concluded by saying.
