Are your kitchen drawers cluttered with packets of free ketchup and oregano from fast food chains? Is it just a small stack, or do you have a grand collection that you’re proud of? In a viral Instagram video, content creator, Sarthak Sachdeva, went on a mission to collect free ketchup from food outlets in a mall in Pune. He brought along a large glass jar to fill it with ketchup without spending a single penny. He started at the McDonald’s outlet, where he managed to gather a good number of free ketchup packets. Afterwards, he decided to try another restaurant, admitting, “Bhai McDonald’s main aur sauce maangne mein sharam aa rahi hai [Now I am feeling embarrassed to ask for more ketchup at McDonald’s].”

After visiting KFC, he left with 25 extra ketchup packets. With this sizable collection, he began filling a jar, but it hardly made a dent in the current stock of over 40 packets. Next, he went to Pizza Hut, where he discovered bottled ketchup, and he ended up emptying five bottles into the jar. In the end, he had a jar filled with 2.5 litres of free ketchup.

Nothing quite matches the thrill of a surprise birthday celebration thrown by friends. While many might expect a simple cake and heartfelt wishes, one viral video has taken birthday surprises to a whole new level. Titled “Cake with 500 Rupee Notes,” this delightful clip shows a girl’s astonished reaction as she discovers an unexpected treasure hidden inside her birthday cake. Cash notes, one after another, began to emerge from the cake, neatly covered in plastic to keep it clean and separate from the cake itself. In total, 29 notes of Rs 500 were revealed, amounting to an impressive sum of approximately Rs 14,500. Fusion food videos are trending on all social media platforms. From chocolate raj kachori to butter chicken golgappa, videos that mix two completely different dishes together are going viral in no time. We are all familiar with jalebi, right? This delicious sweet, shaped like circles and soaked in sugar syrup, is loved across the country. But what if we told you that we came across this delectable dessert being served with pineapple ‘filling’?

In an Instagram video, we see this fusion dish being made at a sweet shop in Surat. The clip begins with the vendor heating ghee in a pan. Next, he takes pre-cut pineapple pieces from a plastic bag and coats them with jalebi batter. He then drops these pineapple pieces into the hot ghee. After deep-frying them for about 15-20 minutes, he dunks the pineapple jalebis in sugar syrup. The side note reads, “Pineapple Jalebi India’s Fusion Sweets.” Take a look:

If you find it hard to believe that such a dish exists, you are not the only one. While some believed that this fusion works due to the sweet factor in both pineapple and jalebi, others weren’t quite convinced. One user said, “It’s popular in South India with Banana and in Canada with other fruits.” Another added, “Ngl looks delicious.” Someone commented, “I have tried it and it is tasty.” 

Some users pointed out the health concerns of eating pineapple jalebi. One user said, “No wonder why India will lead the world for the largest diabetic population.” Another comment read, “Leads to liver problems.” Someone chimed in, “This is called inviting your own death.”

There is something truly magical about Kolkata, especially when it comes to street food. Among the many delectable treats, jhalmuri stands out as a popular snack, with its combination of puffed rice, spices and fresh ingredients. For many who have left the city, the longing for a taste of home can be overwhelming, but one man’s unexpected encounter in London reminded him that home is never too far away. While exploring the streets of London, a food vlogger stumbled upon a stall that brought the essence of Kolkata to life. He was drawn to a familiar setup called the Jhalmuri Express, where a British vendor had recreated the classic Kolkata snack. The stall featured an authentic Indian-style trolley, laden with both steel and plastic containers.

In a video posted on Instagram, we see the vendor expertly preparing the jhalmuri. With a skilled hand, he puts some puffed rice (muri) into a steel vessel and adds a generous handful of fresh coriander leaves. He then adds an array of spices, followed by freshly chopped cucumbers and onions. The vendor mixes everything with a long, thin knife and squeezes fresh lemon juice over the mixture.

The final touch was the preparation of a classic serving cone made from old newspapers – just like Indian street food vendors do. For the final step, the vendor added a drizzle of imli chutney to the mix and garnished it with bhujia and masala. Taking a bite, the vlogger described the dish as “Kolkata style, authentic and spicy jhalmuri in London.”

His ability to blend culinary and humorous elements is simply on-point. Recently, he posted a video in which he is seen sprinting through the streets wearing an apron while holding a glass of Coke. To add an element of difficulty, he continues adding more glasses of Coke to his running feat, resulting in a challenging yet comical series of events.
The video begins with him running at great speed with one Coke in hand, followed by him darting at the same speed, but with two beverages. When the number of Cokes increases to five, the content creator uses a tray to hold the glasses. Slowly, the number of glasses rises to 10, then 20, and finally 30. Unbelievable, right? What’s even more impressive is that he barely spills a drop. Things take a turn when Daniel attempts to run with two trays holding 60 glasses of Coke. After taking a few steps, he falters, and the trays fall from his hands, spilling onto the road. “Sprinting with more and more drinks,” read his caption.

NEW DELHI: The Chess Olympiad 2024 witnessed an unexpected moment when members of the Pakistan chess team were seen posing with the Indian flag during a post-tournament photo session.
As seen in a viral video, the incident took place after the conclusion of the Olympiad in Budapest, Hungary.
And since then, the clip of a Pakistani team member holding the Indian flag quickly spread across social media, drawing reactions from both sides of the India-Pakistan border.

The viral video has sparked conversations on how chess, a game of strategy and intellect, can be a metaphor for building peaceful relations between nations.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the sporting spirit transcended national boundaries in recent weeks.
Earlier, during the Asian Champions Trophy in hockey, Pakistani players were seen waving Chinese flags and donning Chinese badges after their bronze medal match, showing their support for China in the final.
Nevertheless, despite their support, China faced a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of a well-oiled Indian side.
During the tournament, Pakistan’s Momin Fayzan earned the Candidate Master (CM) title with an impressive score of 6.5 out of 11 in the open section, while 11-year-old Aayat Asmi secured the Woman Candidate Master (WCM) title with 5 out of 10 points in the women’s division.
