Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 59th birthday on Saturday, November 2, 2024. His wife and producer Gauri Khan shared a glimpse of the intimate family gathering on Instagram, where Shah Rukh was seen cutting his birthday cake. The couple was also joined by their daughter Suhana Khan. SRK dressed casually and sported a beanie, while Gauri and Suhana looked elegant in ethnic attire. Gauri shared the pictures with the caption, “A memorable evening last night with friends and family… Happy birthday Shah Rukh Khan.” The cake caught our special attention. It was small and simple but looked decadent and delicious. The round chocolate cake was topped with berries and two candles. Along with this, Gauri also delighted her followers with a throwback photo. The picture shows Shah Rukh and Gauri from their younger days. Take a look:

The official handle of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders also delighted the fans by sharing a video of SRK cutting his 59th birthday cake. The side note read, “Party aaj Pathan ke ghar pe rakhi hai! (Today’s party at Pathan‘s home!) Happy Birthday King #KnightsArmy stay tuned, more content loading from #SRKDay.” The actor was seen cutting a three-tier cake, beautifully designed with dark purple and gold, the official colours of the KKR team jersey. The cake featured the letters ‘SRK’ on each tier and was topped with a golden crown for the ‘King of Bollywood’.

Actor Ishaan Khatter had a pre-birthday celebration on Diwali with his family. Dressed in ethnic attire, Ishaan was surprised at the family gathering with three beautiful and delicious cakes. The best part? These cakes were made by his niece and Shahid Kapoor’s daughter Misha along with Mira Kapoor. Ishaan posted a picture from the birthday celebration on his Instagram Stories. He wrote, “Birthday on Diwali means 3 cakes (two made by my amazing 8-year-old niece) and a goofy bhaabs.” In the picture, we can see Ishaan dressed in a white kurta and feeding cake to his brother Shahid.

On the table, we can spot three different types of indulgent birthday cakes. One cake is covered in chocolate, and the second looks like a butterscotch chocolate cake topped with chocolate sauce and Ferrero Rocher. The third homemade cake with rainbow sprinkles and cherries looks like a vanilla cake.

Ishaan also posted a video from the celebration in which Misha can be seen blowing the candles along with him while Shahid dances to the music playing in the background.

This is not little Misha’s first attempt at cooking. In a previous Instagram post, Mira shared pictures from an elaborate dinner planned by Misha and her nani. The eight-year-old also made hand-made place cards for each member of the family as well as label for the dish prepared by her – Apple Crumble for dessert. Titled “Cake with 500 Rupee Notes,” this delightful clip shows a girl’s astonished reaction as she discovers an unexpected treasure hidden inside her birthday cake. Shared widely on Instagram, the video opens with the birthday girl surrounded by her friends, all buzzing with excitement as they anticipate the cake-cutting moment. As she readies to slice into the cake, her eyes catch a “Happy Birthday” tag placed at the centre. With a curious pull, she moved the tag away – and what unfolded next was pure astonishment.

Cash notes, one after another, began to emerge from the cake, neatly covered in plastic to keep it clean and separate from the cake itself. The girl’s exclamations of disbelief filled the air as she wondered when the stream of notes would end. In total, 29 notes of Rs 500 were revealed, amounting to an impressive sum of approximately Rs 14,500. Earlier, a man’s family surprised him in a unique way by hiding a wad of cash inside his birthday cake. As he removed the top layer of the cake, a thick roll of neatly stacked cash notes popped out, delighting him.
