The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) in Chandigarh has secured an unprecedented budgetary allocation of ₹2,559.6 crore, marking the highest-ever financial commitment to the institution. This substantial investment underscores a strategic governmental focus on bolstering India's premier medical research and healthcare facility. Analysis reveals that ₹1,450 crore is designated for personnel expenditures, ensuring operational stability and talent retention.
