Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Links Government Development Agenda to Sant Ravidas's Teachings in Ceremonial Address
In a formal ceremony at the Sant Ravidas Math on Kanpur Road in Barabirwa, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath articulated a direct ideological linkage between the contemporary governance principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' (Collective Effort, Inclusive Growth) and the historical teachings of the 15th-century saint, Sant Ravidas. The Chief Minister, while inaugurating a newly installed statue and an auditorium dedicated to the saint, framed the saint's philosophy as a foundational precursor to the modern vision of national unity. He noted that Sant Ravidas, born 649 years ago in Sir Govardhan, Kashi (present-day Varanasi), propagated social harmony and spiritual equality, principles which Adityanath posited as inherently aligned with the current administration's objective of fostering a 'One India, Great India'. This analytical framing serves to embed a specific socio-political agenda within a revered cultural and spiritual lineage, presenting the government's development model not merely as policy but as the continuation of a centuries-old indigenous ethical tradition. The event underscores a strategic narrative effort to consolidate support by connecting modern statecraft with deep-rooted spiritual authority.
