Lisa from BLACKPINK revealed a unique skill she learned to “survive.”

The 27-year-old Thai rapper and singer of the popular K-pop girl group learned four different languages as a survival skill.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the How You Like That singer, whose real name is Lalisa Manobal, stated that she got fluent in speaking English, Korean, Chinese and Japanese, determined to get ahead in life.

“I mean, I don’t know that I have gotten so good!” as the artist said of how her language skills did not come naturally but eventually, she added, “I don’t think I have the talent for languages, but in Korea, I had to live, so I had to learn.”

Lisa, who has also released music in Korean, Japanese and English, she mentioned, “I had to survive, I guess.”

“It was just common sense, like to get what I want, I had to learn and try to speak with local people, and I was spending more and more time on that,” the music star further mentioned.

Noting that she particularly learned Korean to enjoy K-dramas easily, the Pink Venom hitmaker said, “(K-dramas are) nothing too serious, so when I need to try to calm myself down, I watch them, and it really helps.”

Denzel Washington is sharing what was initially unknown, that a scene of his was cut from the upcoming Gladiator.

The scene in question had him kissing a man. “I actually kissed a man in the film but they took it out, they cut it,” he said.

When Gayety, a news outlet, asked him why this was axed from the final cut. The two-time Oscar winner’s answer was simple and blunt. “I think they got chicken.”

He further explained, “I kissed a guy full on the lips and I guess they weren’t ready for that yet,” adding, “I killed him about five minutes later. It’s ‘Gladiator.’ It’s the kiss of death.”

In the particular scene, The Post was told by an insider that it was filmed, but “it wasn’t a sexy kiss.”

It’s not the first time a scene like this was cut from Gladiator II. This was also happened with the movie’s lead star, Paul Mescal.

The Normal People actor previously told Cinema Blend that his kiss on Pedro Pascal’s forehead was also axed.

“I didn’t tell Ridley I was gonna do it,” he said. “And then I was nervous after we did it because I thought he was going to ******** hate it. So I nervously go over the radio being like, ‘Ridley? Did you like the kiss on the forehead? Yay or nay?’”

“So I don’t know where it got lost in the edit, but I trust this man entirely, though. How he cuts his films,” Paul said.

Baton Rouge, La. — An LSU student has been arrested after, prosecutors say, he made an online threat to kill Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, who advocated for bringing a live tiger onto the field as part of a recent college football game.

Landry, a Republican, helped revive the school’s tradition of wheeling a caged Bengal tiger into the stadium before kickoff for the first time in nearly a decade. Animal rights activists protested outside the stadium.

An arrest affidavit says Jackson Pemberton, 21, told state police investigators on Tuesday that he was joking when he posted on social media “I am going to kill you jefflandry,” tagging the governor’s account on X, media outlets reported.

Pemberton told investigators he was “upset with the governor’s decision regarding the live tiger that was brought on the LSU football field this previous weekend,” the affidavit said.

Pemberton, of Baton Rouge, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish prison on a count of threatening a public official, media outlets reported. Jail records didn’t indicate whether he has an attorney or if bond had been set.

In a statement Wednesday, an LSU spokesperson said the university was aware of the student’s arrest.

“We take any behavior that threatens the safety of individuals or our community very seriously,” the statement reads. “LSU is committed to a respectful, responsible, and safe environment for all.”

The Crown actor, Josh O’Connor, who portrayed young Prince Charles in the series opened up about his struggles playing the role.

The 34-year-old actor appeared on the latest cover of Vanity Fair‘s star-studded Hollywood issue and revealed that He feared feeling “guilty” for depicting the future King of the Royal family of the U.K.

“When I started working on Charles, I wasn’t overly excited at the idea of playing a real person. The prospect of playing someone who exists, particularly someone who is present in our national psyche, was very daunting,” he told the publisher.

It is pertinent to mention that Josh first took the role in the third season of the Netflix hit series.

“With Charles, it was like, I did the research, everything that helps put together a script, but I never see it as having played Prince Charles,” he continued.

The outlet inquired about his feelings over the portrayal of the Prince.

In response, Josh confessed, “I just don’t want to feel guilty. This is how I excuse myself.”

Josh also starred as King Charles in Princess Diana in season four alongside Emma Corrin who played the titular role.

The homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were broken into last month, CBS affiliate KCTV5 reported, citing law enforcement.

KCTV5 reports that police in Leawood, Kansas, responded to a burglary call on Oct. 8 at an address previously reported as Kelce’s home in the Kansas City suburb. In a statement to CBS News, the Leawood Police Department said it does not comment about specific victims of crimes except in the case of fatal crashes or homicides, but provided a Call Log Map that shows police were called to a home in Leawood on the night of Oct. 8 for a reported burglary. 

A police report said $20,000 in cash was taken from Kelce’s home, according to TMZ, which first reported on the incident. CBS News has not independently confirmed that information.  

Law enforcement responded to Mahomes’ house in Loch Lloyd, Missouri – also near the state border – on Oct. 6 just after midnight, according to Cass County Sheriff’s Office, KCTV5 reports.

Speaking at a press conference Wednesday, Mahomes called the break-in “frustrating” and “disappointing,” and said the investigation is ongoing, KCTV5 sports anchor Marleah Campbell reported.

Kanye West is staring at a potential default judgment in a lawsuit after his legal team is missing a key member: a lawyer to represent him.

It comes after an ex-employee, Isaiah Meadows of Donda Academy, sued him — he is already facing many legal cases.

But what caught everyone’s attention was when the judge threatened to give a default judgment after there was no attorney to defend the Power hitmaker.

At a recent hearing, the Grammy winner’s lawyer, Manoj Shah, who doesn’t specialize in civil litigation, requested the court to give them more time to find someone to represent him.

“We are trying in vain to retain counsel,” he told Judge Christopher Lui. “We are interviewing several firms. For one reason or another, it has failed to work out. Our goal is to have counsel and participate in the defense.”

His attorney’s plea highlights Ye’s sorry situation after he fired his multiple lawyers and denied them their fees.

“This can’t continue forever,” the judge stated, adding a default judgment was on the cards if the 47-year-old did not find a lawyer soon. “If a substitute counsel is going to come in, it has to be done quickly.”

On the other hand, Isaiah, an ex-assistant principal at Donda Academy’s attorney Ron Zambrano, said judge Lui was delaying the verdict.

“It’s an odd situation,” he told Courthouse News. “This is the first time we’ve heard there’s an attorney representing [West’s] interests.”

“Whoever the next attorney is, there’s a long history of people not getting paid by Kanye West, which is part of the problem. But we’re gonna move forward. He’s going to have to pay attention to this case somehow,” the lawyer said.

Grammy winner John Driskell Hopkins, known as “Hop” from the Zac Brown Band, is turning his personal battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS, into a mission to help others. 

After he was diagnosed with the disease in 2021, Hopkins and his wife, Jen, founded the “Hop On A Cure” foundation to raise awareness and funds. This year, they plan to donate $3 million for grants and research, he announced on “CBS Mornings” on Wednesday. 

He is also releasing a new single, “Each Other,” which ventures into his journey since the diagnosis. 

“When you’re given a life-threatening diagnosis, you really start to focus on things that matter,” he said. 

In 2019, Hopkins said he began noticing his right hand was “slowing down.” It took two years to receive an ALS diagnosis. ALS is a nervous system disease that can cause loss of muscle control and worsens over time, according to the Mayo Clinic.

He pointed out that ALS cases can differ significantly, with his own case being slow-progressing and primarily affecting his upper motor neurons rather than the lower ones, which he said causes difficulty speaking, walking and playing as quickly as he used to.

Hopkins said he felt scared when he first got his diagnosis. For the first two months, he felt like he was losing control. Things took a positive turn when he went to the Steve Gleason gala in March 2022, where he and his wife found their support team.

He said there is an urgent need for ALS research, mentioning that the disease is expected to increase by 70% over the next 10 to 12 years. 

Despite the challenges that ALS brings, Hopkins remains optimistic and looks to inspire others through his music and message. 

“I am going to sing through it,” Hopkins said.

Fans gather to honor Dodger great Fernando Valenzuela with downtown LA funeral

Fernando Valenzuela, the beloved Los Angeles Dodgers pitching ace who helped the team win the 1981 World Series, died of septic shock last month, according to his death certificate.

TMZ Sports obtained the document on Tuesday. Valenzuela died on Oct. 22 at age 63, a few weeks after stepping away from his job on the Dodgers’ Spanish-language television broadcast and days before the Dodgers began their run to the team’s eighth World Series championship. No cause of death was provided at the time.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office listed septic shock as the immediate cause of death. It is a life-threatening condition that occurs when organs malfunction, leading to dangerously low blood pressure. Each year, at least 350,000 people in the U.S. die of the condition, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The medical examiner listed decompensated alcoholic cirrhosis and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis cirrhosis as underlying causes. Also listed as a significant condition contributing to Valenzuela’s death was “probable” Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rapidly progressive brain disorder.

The document also shows Valenzuela was cremated. A public Mass was held last week at Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles.

He was a native of Etchohauquila, Sonora, Mexico and known affectionately to fans across the baseball world as “El Toro.”

The man behind “Fernandomania,” which took Los Angeles by storm during the 1980s, spent 11 of his 17 seasons in Major League Baseball with the Dodgers, leading them to a World Series title in 1981.  

Meta-owned Instagram might be working to add a new AI-backed feature that will allow users to create profile pictures using Meta’s artificial intelligence technology, Gadgets 360 reported.

According to an unofficial news leak as cited by Gadgets 360, the development of a new feature is still under process. Similar features might be introduced on Facebook and WhatsApp as well.

Developer Alessandro Paluzzi initially shared the information on Threads, posting a screenshot of the menu where an option of ‘Create an AI profile picture’ can be seen under his profile picture on Instagram’s profile picture setting page.

With insufficient clarity surrounding the new feature, it is difficult to predict the exact way this feature would work but it will presumably be supported by one of Meta’s Llama large language models (LLMs).

However, this feature will not be Instagram’s first AI-driven specification as the platform has already incorporated an AI chatbot called Meta AI which allows users to interact with the chatbot and generate images based on text prompts.

Besides, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri announced that the app abandoned the service of automated feed refreshing upon opening after a certain period of time.

Moreover, Meta recently unveiled its ongoing tests of an AI-driven facial recognition tool designed to combat scam ads across Facebook and Instagram. This technology aims to identify and block ads that exploit images of public figures to mislead users.

Additionally, Meta disclosed plans to use facial recognition for verifying users via video selfies, offering a secure method for users to regain access to compromised accounts. Currently, both of these features remain in limited testing phases and are not yet widely accessible.

Campbell ‘Pookie’ Puckett and her husband Jett Puckett welcomed their first child, a baby girl, just days after Jett gifted Campbell a $12,000 Hermes Kelly bag as a push present.

In an emotional Instagram video shared on Tuesday, Campbell was seen tearfully cradling her new born as she captioned the post as “She’s here and we are so in love,” along with hashtags including #baby and #love.
