After ironing out a settlement for their divorce for a while, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been on the cusp of finalizing it.
The only requirement, AP reports, is the approval of a judge as court documents in L.A. Superior Court stated the couple, via a mediation, has reached an agreement a month after the On the Floor hitmaker filed for divorce.
Meanwhile, the financial details of the settlement were not publicly filed. But what’s confirmed is the ruling out of spousal support.
Also, the Grammy-nominated singer will drop Affleck’s surname from her legal name after the split is finalized.
Ben and J.Lo tied the knot in July 2022, and the latter filed for divorce in August 2024; however, the court filing showed the pair split in April 2023.
However, sources say the divorce did not mean the duo would remain out of each other’s lives.
“They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved,” the bird chirped on Page Six.
Insiders also noted the pair “remain amicable whenever they do see each other. They’re still close with each other’s children, and even though they don’t have a co-parenting type of relationship, they still feel like a blended family in a lot of ways.”
