The 82nd Golden Globe Awards brought Hollywood’s biggest stars to the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday, where glistening gold emerged as the dominant fashion trend of the evening.

Demi Moore embraced the golden theme, with Moore wearing a sculptural Armani Privé outfit and Kaling opting for a dramatic Ashi Studio column dress.

Cate Blanchett, known for her impeccable style, wowed in a custom Louis Vuitton gown embroidered with shimmering gold beads.

While gold was the clear favourite, metallic tones were also prominent. Angelina Jolie shimmered in a silver beaded Alexander McQueen creation, and model Cara Delevingne turned heads in an iridescent blue gown.

The evening wasn’t just about metallics, however. Red also made a statement, with Dakota Fanning, nominated for her role in Ripley, choosing a strapless red Dolce & Gabbana gown featuring a daring thigh slit.

Comedian Ali Wong stunned in a crimson Balenciaga creation while Emma Stone also impressed in ruby and burgundy shades.

Men’s fashion saw more playful departures from tradition. Timothée Chalamet made waves by styling his Tom Ford tie like a scarf while Jeremy Strong of Succession sparked plenty of buzz on social media with his velvet bucket hat.
