Christina Aguilera recently shut down trolls who accused her of using Ozempic, a diabetes drug, to achieve rapid weight loss.
The 44-year-old music artist took to Instagram and shared a video post in which she seemingly wrapped up the year on New Year’s Eve.
Aguilera began, “This year, doing something a little different.”
The singer of I Turn to You continued, “This is a reminder to everyone that you are your own storyteller in your own life.”
“No one else can dictate who you are,” she said, adding, “No one deserves an explanation.”
According to Aguilera, she is evolved enough to know that “nothing comes easy and no one is perfect”.
The singer, songwriter, actress, and television personality, went on to say, “Everyone will judge you. No matter what you do.”
“And/ or what you don’t do. Acceptance comes with accepting yourself first,” she continued.
“And the difficult journey it takes sometimes to get there,” the mother-of-two said.
Before concluding, Aguilera wrote, “I celebrate everyone taking the time to put one step in front of the next everyday in order to build the next version of themselves for the better.”
“Allowing yourself grace, patience and respect,” she said in the end, adding, “Acceptance comes with accepting yourself first. And the difficult journey it takes sometimes to get there.”
Her post is a hint at her transformation earlier this year in which Aguilera shed a noticeable amount of weight, raising suspicion that she’s turned to the popular weight loss and diabetes drug Ozempic.
