Wicked star Jonathan Bailey reacted to his co-star Ariana Grande’s emotional moment on her last day filming in Glinda’s magic bubble.
Ariana took to Instagram to share a video from her last day of filming in Glinda’s regal bubble device. In the video, the singer sat wearing her pink frock and tearing up as she talks to director John M. Chu behind the camera.
Asked how it feels, she replied, “Horrible. Terrible.”
“I’m not getting up,” she declared, noting that she was “very emotional.”
“I need to call my therapist, I really do. This is a mess,” she said.
Chu then asked her to describe her first impression of the bubble device. The Bloodline singer replied: “I thought it was beautiful but I also thought it was a karaoke booth.”
In the end of the video, a bunch of photos were added from the actress’ last day of filming on the Munchkinland set.
Taking to the comments, Bridgerton star Bailey left two heart emojis. Fans also took to the comments to admire the actress’ love of the movie and Glinda.
One wrote: “You cared so much for her and it is so beautifully shown not only through the screen but every time you talk about your experience in oz the most special Glinda.”
Another wrote: “Not a karaoke booth (laugh emoji) I adore that heart of yours.
A third joined in: “I totally get it! Thank you for allowing us all to be a part of your treasured memories!”
Grande also penned a lengthy emotional caption about her attachment to “my wand and my bubble” being “comically overwhelming.”
“Her bubble was a home away from home,” she wrote of Glinda’s bubble.
Wicked: Part One stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Jonathan Bailey as Prince Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq alongside Ariana Grande.
