Prince William and Kate Middleton, who tied the knot in 2011, are proud parents of their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Some fans speculate that William does not seem to be happy with the Princess as he avoids wearing his wedding ring in contrast to his father King Charles who proudly displays his band every where.
William has never worn his wedding band even being married to Kate for over 13 years. While, Princess Catherine’s engagement ring has long been envied by her fans everywhere, with people in awe of the sapphire and diamond masterpiece that once belonged to late Princess Diana.
Ahead of their wedding day, a palace spokesperson told PEOPLE, “There is only going to be one ring, in accordance with the couple’s wishes.”
While many people may have chalked it up to royal tradition, the truth is that Prince William’s decision to not wear a wedding ring is purely based on his personal style.
“He’s not one for jewellery,” a separate source told the Mirror. “He’s never worn any. He decided he didn’t want to wear one now. It’s all down to personal preference.”
In contrast, William’s dad King Charles prefers to wear his wedding ring, however, he chooses to place it underneath his signet ring on his pinkie finger.
On the other hand, Prince Harry also wears a wedding band on his ring finger, which he has done since he married Meghan Markle in 2018.
It is worth mentioning here that like William, his grandfather, Prince Philip never wore a wedding band over the course of his 73-year marriage to Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal expert Eloise Parker previous revealed the reason, saying: “Although it’s traditional for royal women to wear both an engagement ring and a wedding ring after they get married, it’s never been traditional for royal men to wear one.
The expert explained that’s the reason some royals, like Philip and William, avoid wearing them.
Meanwhile, some royal watchers and others believe Harry and King Charles wear the ring to show off their love for their spouses. However, William does not seem to believe in this.
